FCAV - FAR CRY 1 ADVANCED VERSION PROJECT.
ABOUT MOD AND ITS GOALS.

WHAT WILL BE RELEASED OR ALREADY RELEASED.
Base goals:
RENDERER & 3D-ENGINE TROUBLES.
- Incorrect water relfections;
- Fixed torn(choppy) frame rate and frame time, but still needs to be imoroved!
- Wrong lighting on the vegetation; Close distance LODs of models & animations(!);
- Some flickering textures (vegetation detail texture as example);
- Incorrect shadow-maps such as volumetric shadows;
- Some broken shaders;
- Stencil shadows;
- Flickering fog-volume issues with far objects;
- Nighvision goggles troubles with alpha-buffer;
- Multi-thread for vegetation and Entity part;
- Refactoring of 3D-Engine for better optimization;
- Stupid 2D sprites system - needed new one with 3D sprites + on another thread;
- New FOV system taking into account the viewing angle of both the camera and the weapon;

Multiplayer & NetCode.
- Fixing of data-core transmission;
- Improved PREDICTION net-system;
- Added interpolations on Entities and Snapshots;
- Rewritten snapshot system;
- Increased ticks of the physical world;
- Improved net-buffer;
- Optimization of all original calls and commands to remove channel clutter;
- Improved original modes, to get it more stable;
- New mode such as TFM(battle-royale);
- Added new technology for Entity world global optimization;
- Added new bots with support of big amount on the map without any lags on net-code;
- New global system of protection from cheaters and malicious players;
- Adapting whole system for COOP mode and as result - release of optimized COOP in its best way;
- Improved snapshots for the client with low ping on the dedicated server;
- More skins and ability to wear hat helmets;
- Fixed wrong system of hit-detects;
- Fixed some models with wrong collisions (such as towers and some barrels);
- New features in Assault, respawn occurs automatically after the timeout expires, implemented by the team by choice;
- Improved server admin-panel;
- Ability to download mp maps inside of the mod;
- More commands for thin server setup;
- Rewritten flying-foxes in the core - as for MP and for SP;

Singleplayer changes.
- Added challenger mode for speedrunner;
- A bit improved some maps: major fixes and collisions;
- Added campaigns system - now you can add own campaigns with own maps/story;
- Disappearing bodies - bodies are now preserved after loading saves.
- New difficulty - "Unreal"
- The ability to launch custom maps directly from the menu, as well as download them from an accessible database;

Bots and player changes.
NPC:
- Smarter bots - bots should return fire to your shooting from the bushes, and also create smart cover when you silently attacking them;
- Super easy fix - tent AI shooting fix(1 line in scripts of tent material lol);
- Fix for NPCs running toward an action (like raising an alarm) and completely ignoring the player and all threats in the surrounding world;
- A fix when an NPC could get stuck in object and ignore everything else, similar to raising an alarm, but worse;
- NPCs try not to make friendly fire;
Player:
- More responsive player control in every sense - the ability to fire weapons ahead of time, aim early, and so on, without having to wait for the animation 100% to finish, enough when animation reaches 80-85% until full end of it;
- The player can run and jump for much longer than in the original game. No more three-second sprints, now the player can run for realistically long periods, as befits a special forces soldier;
- New breath holding mechanics, now possible on almost every weapon;
- Tactical and fractional reloads are now an integral part of the gameplay, finally!
- Iron Sights. Aiming through the front sight is your choice, optional in the settings!

- Better animations for all guns, no exceptions;
- Polishing original guns models, make them a bit better;
- The new hands are more polygonal, but still in the same vanilla style. Just to make it easier on the eyes;
- Adding a multi-blending system;
- Fixes for all original models that have collision issues;

- The ability to throw some objects, such as knives, kitchen knives;
- Ability to make a slides(optional);
- Parachute;
- Tactical, fractional reloads, as well as going out of sight to reload the bolt on a sniper rifle - as it should be;
- Reworked throwing stuff (rocks, grenades etc);
- Hands for steering wheel from first person behind the vehicle;
- Speedometers on all vehicles;
- Auxiliary boxes with extra loot;
- Backpack for the MP modes such as TFM and COOP;
- Smart damage delay on some weapons, like the machete....
Our main goal is to push performance and smoothness to their absolute limits — with fluid animations, seamless multiplayer powered by a solid netcode, and a gameplay flow that feels incredibly responsive. On top of that, we want to craft a truly rewarding experience for speedrunners and long-time fans of the original.

So, what should you expect from the mod? Improved NPCs, more balanced main character stats, enhanced-improved animations, a refined multiplayer experience with stability improvements, and rebalanced weapons focused on realism. Some locations have been slightly redesigned while keeping the original level design logic intact. You can also expect new multiplayer modes, a fully polished and complete online experience, as well as overall optimization and fixes for all engine-related issues.
