A: The typical issue can be connected with Vulkan Render.
Try to disable this option in launcher:
You can also disable it by renaming d3d9.dll file into "!d3d9.dll" in OpenFC folder, which is located in root game folder.

Q: I lost my save-games, what and why?
A: Such thing happens when we change some major things in the engine. The game's memory structure changes, and unfortunately, any ability to load previous saves is lost. The game would crash. But you can use command to load to the needed level you stopped to play: CHECK
Q: When I start the game mod via launcher, I have error with fonts loading, what to do?
A: Try to launch the origina game first. Or via OpenFC or via Bin32, try both variants. We still working on this issue. It often happens when you try to launch the mod on first time after game installing and game didn't load xml with language, when your setting wasn't set with your default Language selected. If you will still have some issues, let us know!
Q: I have some troubles with lighting and strange issues with shaders?

Q: I have issue with LANGUAGES FONTS. What to do?
A: Check here in installation section, scroll down and look for "ATTENTION!" message: Installation instruction!
Q: I have issues with localization. It doesn't working and I don't hear see any localized stuff! What to do!?
A: Try restarting the game a few times. If that doesn't help, write to us here! In any case, we are currently working on this issue!
Q: Launcher issue: To run this application, you must install .NET Core. What I need to do?
A: You need to download exact 3.1 version of .NET Core libs from official web-site: DOT NET 3.1
Q: Why launcher skip the updating and just closes then?
A: You need in that case to remove FCAV folder manually - go to Far Cry root folder: FarCry/Mods/FCAV - here you needed remove out Mods folder the FCAV folder.
Q: Launcher still can't update the mod! WTF?
A: Try to install mod manually if nothing help, but from now usually all works fine.
Q: WTF again nothing working!

Q: What version of Far Cry 1 do I need?
A: Any, except GOG(but for now and GOG should works fine).
Q: Launcher doesn't working on steam version, what to do?
A: Try to disable steam and all connected with farcry, and then do all like in instruction. FCAV wokring on OpenFC Base, so this don't needed steam game be launched with steam. Start the mod out of Launcher or out of: game directory\Mods\FCAV\game.bat
Q: How can I connect to you? I don't see the server/servers in server-list.
A: If you don't see the server, then you needed RadminVPN. If you have radmin VPN, then you not connected to the needed radmin server. Check all steps carefuly. If you still have issues, check Radmin Guides in internet.
Q: I downloaded the side map and have error about "wrong level version".
A: So, you downloaded old or not actual map/maps. Be more attentive. Check actual maps here: MAPS
Q: I have issues with water reflections and some graphic glitches, what's wrong?
A: Try to disable Vulkan Render. You can do it in launcher, or remove(or rename) manually "d3d9.dll" file out from OpenFC folder on that case, if you installed FCAV via manual method.
Q: Can I play somehow with steam overlay? Wtf?

Cheers. I don't want to update to the latest version of the mod, is there a way to disable auto update? I tried blocking in firewall, but then the game wont run.

Hi there. No, problem is that the new update brought a lot of bugs. I have the GOG version and I'm getting a lot of texture corruption. I'm playing the River level. I would prefer the keep the old version until this problems get sorted.

Can you describe the problems? Better not to use gog version. Because gog is modified and is not original one. Better to use standalone 1.1 original English version.
