I like the mp in this mod. Have a couple of questions.
Will you add for gamepad support for mp? and how mp coop will looks from the point of 4 players?
We will try to add it later - gamepad and VR. COOP will be for 5 players max, with a bit changed campaign(for new 5 characters which are players) but same characters and essence.

Amazing work. It warms my heart to see old-school shooters brought back from the dead. I'd like to confirm it works on Linux (via Heroic Launcher and GoG version of the game) ;)
I know this mod was mainly focused on multiplayer support, but I'm more interested in singleplayer, mainly because my father wanted to replay first Far Cry. I have a question - can you somehow re-enable the auto ammo pickup from weapons after killed enemies?

About focus on multiplayer it's not enough true, latest time we focused same and on singleplayer.
When we were focused only on mp was at the very beginning.
About auto-picking-up - yes, we will add an option so everyone could choose how to use that.
My father got thrilled when I told him that there is a coop planned. I have a question though - will there be something to save the progress if the game won't be played start to finish in one sitting?
I don't know yet, but I think there will be saving of progress in what level you stopped to play: with all equipment, items etc saved

Not gonna lie, I attempted to play Doom 3 in coop (courtesy of dehwm3 port and librecoop mod) and it turns out the progress wasn't saved whatsoever. The progress was kept as long as players were connected (going naturally from level to level carried the inventory).
As soon as someone disconnected - poof. All weapons, items, health, armour were gone. This was the reason why we had to drop the idea. If FCAV will allow coop players to keep their inventories for each checkpoint individually this would be monumental.
Yeah, that's weird that in some games or mods progress doesn't saves after levels or check points in coop mode.
So, we'll try to think of something about this.

In a few weeks, we'll make a post how to create and add any own localization to the game by self in FCAV mod.

Yes, it is possible, you can set a request right here like helping us with some files. You can help us with this.
Upload somewhere .bik cutscenes with Deutsch language.
It is located somewhere in Languages folder, it also can be in FCData. There are xml files and .bik - all those are collect the language itself.
If you could present for us those files, we'll try to implement this language into the game.
We also plan to add soon the GUIDE how any user can create translation on any language.

UPD: There no needed codding skills for that.
We will do a bit later the guide how to add easily own translation to the mod. System of mod already supports this flexible system and gives ability to select custom (including own any) language in menu.

It is far cry folder where inside other game folders/files.
Hey, I really enjoying your mod! I have a couple of questions about the co-op release. Do you plan on completing the campaign in its entirety? How much do you want to change the levels? Which max amount of player will be available? Will doors, flying foxes, and missing inventory cards be fixed? Will micro-frizzes when there are too many NPCs be fixed?

Yep, all you noted will be fixed as well. About amount of players in COOP mode, we decided to make 5 players max.

Nice mod, I liked a lot the idea of fixing whole game, game working so smooth. Thanks! But I have some questions. How to make weapon a bit far from player view? I have big monitor and it seems weapon is a bit close to player. It is ok, but I would like to change it a bit. Otherall, amazing work!

I've had this happen a few times, where enemies will spawn out of nowhere next to me. This was the Bunker level:

Oh, that is vanilla thing:D When bot puts on alarm, those one spawns there, but for some reason if you will go there, this bot spawns there anyway.
Ok. I wasn't sure how far the mod extends to changing things. Like I can throw the rock next to enemies and they cannot see me, however the moment I throw the rock (even before it hits anything) "THERE HE IS!" Makes the rock useless. I tested this in the Bunker level where you got the 4 Trijon in cages with like 5 enemies behind one way glass. The dude on the phone suggest opening the cages. Sounds fun right? Problem is it is literally impossible to reach that button without being spotted. I tried throwing a rock to distract them so I could sneak while they stared at the opposite wall, but they always instantly detected me when I did. Hilariously I can headshot a few of them through the glass and they remain clueless for a few seconds. All probably issues with vanilla, I just wanted to rant xD.

Is there a way to play this through Steam? I would love to record play time and share screenshots. Best I could do is have Steam run the FCAV launcher but when you press play it stops going through Steam.
I tried this in Steam launch options:
"G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FarCry\Mods\FCAV\game.bat" %command%
Where that .bat does work to bypass the launcher when launched outside of Steam, but using that command Windows gives me a strange error saying it can't find farcry.exe in the openFC folder even though it's right there.
I guess I will have to suffice with tricking Steam into running the game when I launch your mod manually, so I at least get the playtime.
.bat file will not work with steam.
You can try to add manually farcry.exe from OpenFC in steam as separated game. Also, about screenshots, they saves into: "YourFarCryFolder/FCAV_Files/Screenshots", but yeah, that will not shown in steam. Okay, if still nothing will help, we will investigate this thing and will try to make special guide a bit later.
Appreciate the response. Problem with a separate Steam game is that it's not running under the actual Far Cry game, so game time isn't counted and screenshots aren't saved to that community hub. Basically we need the Steam overlay to work running this mod while Steam thinks we are playing the og Far Cry.
